The First Interstate Center for the Arts is proud to offer a variety of individualized services to our guests when attending a performance at the venue. We are fully committed to help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Parking

The First Interstate Center has a turn-out directly in front of the theatre for those needing a drop-off option prior to parking. Accessible parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the Spokane Convention Center parking garage. These spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying handicapped permits.

Access

The First Interstate Center for the Arts is wheelchair-accessible from the main entrance. Elevators and main floor access ramp are located in the lobby for access to all floors of the venue.

Accessible Seating

Seating for guests who use wheelchairs and walkers is available on the Orchestra Level of the theatre. Please be sure to inform the ticket seller at the time of purchase should you wish to consider one of the accessible seating options, including any companion seating arrangements.

Orchestra Level Accessible Seating Locations

  • Row BBB (when the orchestra pit is used for general seating). This is a prime seating location may be sold at listed section ticket price
  • Row B seats 1-4 and 40-43 This is a prime seating location may be sold at listed section ticket price

Wheelchair Seating

The First Interstate Center has a selection of wheelchair specific seating locations on the Orchestra Level, along with seating for companions. The ADA seating platforms can also accommodate small mobility scooters. Please notify the ticket representative at the time of purchase if you will require one of these specific seating options.

Assisted Listening Devices

The First Interstate Center is equipped with assistive listening devices. They are available on a limited basis at the Guest Service Office, located in the main lobby. To check out a device simply leave your photo ID with the receptionist and return it after the show.

Accessible Restrooms

The First Interstate Center for the Arts has wheelchair accessible restrooms located on the Orchestra level and the main lobby level.

Medically Necessary Items

Guests with medically necessary items are welcome to bring what they need into the venue, including food, water, medical equipment or supplies, and the appropriate bags or cases that support those needs. When you arrive, please let our security staff know so we can help you enter quickly and comfortably.

Medical bags and equipment are allowed and will be visually inspected at entry.

If you prefer not to go through the weapon detection system for medical reasons, simply let our security team know and we will provide an alternative screening option such as a manual inspection or pat-down by a same-gender staff member.

Interpreters and Seating for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Guests

Sign language interpreters will be arranged for events given appropriate lead time request by guests requiring this service. To request interpreting services, please contact Guest Services as early as possible before your event so we have time to schedule the appropriate accommodation.

Interpreter-friendly seating is located on House Right and offers a clear view of both the stage and the interpreter. When buying tickets, please select seating in this area or call the box office for help selecting the best location. Availability may vary by show. Terrace and Balcony Accessibility

Terrace and Balcony seating areas include stairs and do not have designated wheelchair-accessible seating. However, guests with limited mobility may still choose to sit in these sections if the stairs are manageable for them.

To support planning ahead, the photos below show the stairs and entry points for Terrace and Balcony seating. This allows guests to determine whether these areas are a comfortable option before purchasing tickets.
